Holiday update - our garden is sprouting!

Hi Room 9,

I hope that you are having a fantastic holiday.
Our 'my little garden' has finally started to sprout. Some of the plants / herbs have begun to grow. Some of them haven't yet - but this is because some seeds take longer than others, so don't be discouraged. Hopefully when we get back to school in a week, most will have appeared and we'll be ready to re-pot them before planting them into the garden.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

Planting 'Our Little Garden'

Mrs Wood was lucky enough to be sent a full set of New World's 'My Little Garden' plants. Today we chose one of the plants, and we became gardeners! We planted our seeds into the soil. It is now our responsibility to look after this plant. Hopefully we will see some shoots appearing soon!
Our buddy class also got a set of plants. Tomorrow we're going to visit Kindle 2 to see how their plants are growing!

Choir visits Leith House Retirement Village

Today the Middle Team Choir went to visit the residents at the Leith House Retirement Home. They sung two songs to the residents - 'True Colours' and 'Lean on Me'. Then all the children went to have a chat with some of the residents. We think that they really enjoyed the wonderful singing!

Calendars, calendars, calendars!

We all brought home calendar order forms at the end of last week. The orders for these need to be in by Friday the 18th of September. These will make fabulous christmas gifts, and it is a great fundraiser for the school!  We get a little bit of money for every order received. Mrs Wood has all the artwork on her desk for you to come and look at before you put your order in!
